Circl to be central hub during the Week of the Circular Economy: check out all events
One of the challenges of our times is to make the Netherlands fully circular by 2050, a challenge we are tackling together with our clients. If we want to succeed, we'll have to continuously update our knowledge. During the Week of the Circular Economy we will be discussing the shift to circular. Circl, ABN AMRO's circular pavilion, will serve as the central hub.
Whether we're talking knowledge about sustainability, financing advice or questions about rules and regulations, we want to apply our expertise at moments that matter for our clients. During the Week of the Circular Economy (7-12 February 2022) we'll be opening our virtual doors to connect with anyone interested. As part of the programme, experts from across the bank will be exchanging views on the transition to a circular economy with outside professionals. Their goal will be to meet this challenge together and to share insights.
The programme includes several events for professionals who want to know more about the circular economy. Themes such as organisational change, circular entrepreneurship and the changing labour market will be addressed in online workshops, webinars and talk shows. We are helping our clients and society make the transition to a circular economy. For example, we have been involved in the development and testing of financing options for PaaS propositions. Rob van Willigen, Head of ABN AMRO's PaaS Desk: "PaaS is short for Product-as-a-Service, a business model that can help companies make a circular contribution to the economy."
Rob will also take part in the discussions: "As things stand now, financing this business model is only possible in exceptional cases but we want this type of funding to be standard practice in the future." Businesses aspiring to develop a PaaS proposition often face challenges when trying to secure financing. That's why we want to engage with them, to help them find out how they can take the next step in circular business.
